Wondle started with a clear observation: getting a trusted view of vehicle condition is harder than it should be. Whether a vehicle is leased, rented, delivered, returned or sent for repair, the same problems appear — inconsistent assessments, unclear evidence, repeated inspections and avoidable disputes.

Our team had spent years across leasing, rental, logistics and fleet. In each sector, we saw the same pattern: customers questioned damage charges, businesses spent time defending fair decisions, and operational teams lost valuable time reviewing photographs, training staff, triaging repairs and managing repeated touchpoints. Too much value was being lost to complexity, delay and inconsistency.

The issue was rarely intent. Most customers are willing to pay for damage they have caused, and most businesses want to be fair. The problem is that when the facts are unclear, trust breaks down — and when processes rely on manual review, outcomes can vary from one person, team or stage to the next.

Wondle was built to make vehicle condition clearer, faster and easier to act on — helping businesses assess damage more consistently, triage repairs sooner, improve productivity and make better decisions with confidence.

Wondle strips away the ambiguity. By creating a single, shareable condition report that can travel with the vehicle, we remove duplication, reduce confusion, and increase accountability.

When you have perfect visual evidence supported by damage description, location, time and date stamps, conversations about damage and liability with drivers or vehicle providers become simple and transactional with no ambiguity.

Simon Carr spent more than 25 years in automotive, leading businesses across leasing, rental and fleet management. Over that time, he saw the same problem again and again: vehicle damage assessment was too slow, too inconsistent and too prone to dispute.

Wondle was founded to change that — creating a more reliable way to capture, assess and act on vehicle condition.

Simon Carr Matt Cranny

Co-founder Matt Cranny brought the technical and product expertise to make that possible. Drawing on deep knowledge of the systems behind damage management, he helped build Wondle into a platform that reduces manual effort, improves consistency and gives businesses greater confidence in the outcome.

Our platform is built for scale, speed and clarity. It helps businesses assess vehicle condition in a way that is consistent, transparent and easy to act on — even when the underlying process is complex.

Having completed tens of thousands of inspections, we are proud to be helping remove waste from vehicle assessment and repair workflows. Less time lost to opinion. Less travel for repeat inspections or second views. Less effort spent reviewing photographs, handling complaints and defending fair decisions. Less delay between damage being identified and action being taken.

That means faster triage, better productivity and more confidence at every stage.
